Juliet returns to Rivertown in the May 2005 issue (Come on in, Juliet Stewart is not what you think, by Juliet Stewart, p.58 - 59), where she presents what makes her boutique unique and different from the typical upper class makeup emporium and the department strore experience.
 

I would like to begin by saying thank you to all of you who have been a big part of my first year’s success with your repeat business and your referrals. I am most grateful.

After years of watching the make-up business being run in the same way with no change in sight when it comes to customer service, I knew if I had the opportunity to have my own place it would be operated very, very differently.

During my first year of being open in Nyack, I’ve noticed that people seem afraid to open the door to my store.

Having a small elegant place can have its drawbacks, some women relate my studio to the negative experiences they’ve had with make-up boutiques.

The store looks very elegant so some people may assume
we are snobs and expensive. Elegant yes, expensive, no more that what you already pay in the department stores; perhaps, with even a higher quality. More...
